Lahore: EMCO Industries Limited has announced the accreditation of its High Voltage & Mechanical Testing (HVMT) Laboratory as an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited independent testing service provider. This accreditation follows a comprehensive assessment by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), EMCO stated on November 6, 2025.
EMCO Industries Limited, established in 1954, holds a prominent position in the Pakistan market for the manufacturing and supply of high voltage porcelain transmission line insulators, switchgears, and substation equipment. The company also caters to several export markets. The accreditation of its HVMT Laboratory marks a significant milestone in its operational capabilities.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), EMCO had previously disclosed on April 1, 2024, that it completed the commissioning of its state-of-the-art high voltage laboratory in October 2023. This laboratory, the highest voltage lab in Pakistan, boasts a capability of 18,000 Impulse level and 600kV Power Frequency level.
The newly accredited HVMT Laboratory will offer reliable, third-party testing services to the power sector and other industrial clients, adhering to international standards. This development is expected to positively influence EMCO’s reputation and business prospects, reinforcing its position as a market leader.
