Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited Announces Book Closure for Sukuk Certificate Payments

Karachi: Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited has announced the closure of its transfer books for the upcoming payments related to its Sukuk Certificates - VII. The announcement details the final principal payment and the third profit payment, both scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2026.

The company has outlined that the transfer books will remain closed from August 11 to August 17, 2026, to determine the entitlement of sukuk holders. The Central Depository System (CDS) Transaction IDs received in order by the Share Registrar, M/s. Digital Custodian Company Limited, at their office on Old Queens Road, Karachi, will be processed up until the close of business on August 10, 2026. This ensures that rental and principal payments are accurately made to the entitled sukuk holders.

Sukuk holders are advised to ensure their International Bank Account Number (IBAN) details are updated by August 10, 2026, to facilitate smooth processing of payments. The profit on investment in sukuks is subject to income tax deduction under Section 151 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. Holders seeking exemption must provide valid Income Tax Exemption Certificates to the Share Registrar by the aforementioned deadline.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), transactions related to these sukuks follow the stipulated guidelines to maintain transparency and efficiency in handling investments.
