Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced the latest re-composition of the JS Global Banking Sector Index (JSGBKTI) as of June 30, 2026. According to the report dated July 31, 2026, the index will see no change in its existing constituent companies.
The JSGBKTI is set to maintain its current list of eight constituent companies, each holding an equal weight of 12.50% within the index. These companies include United Bank Limited (UBL), Meezan Bank Limited (MEBL), Habib Bank Limited (HBL), MCB Bank Limited (MCB), National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), The Bank of Punjab (BOP), Bank AL Habib Limited (BAHL), and Bank Alfalah Limited (BAFL).
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the re-composition exercise was conducted in compliance with the relevant index rules. The PSX has made the details of these rules accessible on their official website for public reference.
The unchanged composition of the JSGBKTI will take effect starting Monday, August 17, 2026. This decision ensures continuity in the representation of the banking sector within the index, which remains an important marker for investors in the designated market category.
