Karachi: Tri-Pack Films Limited has announced an Extraordinary General Meeting (EoGM) set for October 04, 2024. The upcoming hybrid meeting will combine in-person attendance at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan’s auditorium in Karachi with a virtual option via Zoom. This hybrid format adheres to directives from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) encouraging virtual participation alongside traditional meetings.
The notice of the EoGM, which was published in the Business Recorder and Nawa-i-Waqt newspapers on September 13, 2024, includes several critical agenda items. Primary among them is the election of seven Directors to the company’s Board, as outlined in the Companies Act of 2017. The directors elected will serve a three-year term commencing on October 4, 2024. The candidates up for re-election include Asghar Abbas, Syed Babar Ali, Syed Hyder Ali, Khurram Raza Bakhtayari, Nermeen Towfiq Chinoy, Asif Qadir, and Saquib Hussain Shirazi.
Additionally, the EoGM will confirm the minutes of the 32nd Annual General Meeting held earlier on April 23, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the meeting will also address any other business as permitted by the Chairman, following the conclusion of ordinary business matters.
The company has distributed a statement of material facts required under Section 166(3) of the Companies Act to all members along with the EoGM notice, ensuring compliance and full disclosure ahead of the meeting.
