Karachi: 786 Investments Limited announced that its recent rights issue, valued at PKR 49,907,510, experienced an unsubscribed portion amounting to PKR 18,214,430, equivalent to 1,821,443 shares. The company made this disclosure following a board resolution passed on January 15, 2026.
The rights issue involved the issuance of 4,990,751 ordinary shares at a par value of PKR 10 per share. The unsubscribed portion has prompted the company to ensure these shares are subscribed, pending confirmation by the company’s auditors.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), several stakeholders have expressed their commitment to subscribe to the unsubscribed shares. These stakeholders include Ms. Tara Uzra Dawood, the Chief Executive Officer and Sponsor of the company, who intends to subscribe to 20,187 shares. Additionally, Ms. Hamida Dawood, a shareholder, plans to subscribe to 1,108,272 shares, while B.R.R. Guardian Limited, a substantial shareholder, has committed to subscribing to 692,984 shares.
The board of directors has approved the allotment of these unsubscribed shares, contingent upon confirmation of receipt of the corresponding subscription amounts in the company’s designated bank account. Upon auditor confirmation of the full subscription amount totaling PKR 49,907,510, the board will finalize the allotment and credit the shares to the respective shareholders’ accounts in compliance with the Companies Act, 2017, and relevant regulations.
