786 Smart Fund Reports Decline in Net Assets Amid Stagnant Dividends

Karachi: The Board of Directors of 786 Investments Limited has announced the financial results for the 786 Smart Fund for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. The board meeting, held on September 14, 2026, concluded with the recommendation of no cash dividends, bonus units, right shares, or any other corporate entitlements for the year.

According to the audited statement of financial position, the fund's total assets were recorded at 1.39 billion rupees, down from the previous year's 1.53 billion rupees. The decline in assets was mirrored by a decrease in liabilities, which stood at 14.53 million rupees, compared to 13.92 million rupees in 2025. Consequently, the net assets of the fund saw a reduction to 1.38 billion rupees from last year's 1.51 billion rupees.

The number of units issued also witnessed a reduction, with 16,370,430 units in circulation, a decrease from 18,007,686 units in the previous year. The net asset value per unit showed a minor move, increasing slightly to 84.22 rupees from 84.06 rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the 786 Smart Fund reported a net income of 137.88 million rupees for the year, a decrease from 169.93 million rupees in the previous fiscal year. The fund also recorded an unrealized loss on the revaluation of investments classified as fair value through other comprehensive income, amounting to 287,772 rupees, compared to a gain of 1.50 million rupees in 2025.

The total comprehensive income for the year was 137.59 million rupees, down from 171.43 million rupees recorded in the previous year. The financial report highlighted no contingencies or commitments, and there was no disclosure of any other price-sensitive information.
