Karachi, United Bank Limited (UBL), a leading banking institution, has declared a book closure period for the entitlement of the 18th quarterly coupon payments on its Additional Tier 1 Term Finance Certificates (TFCs). The coupon payments are due on July 29, 2023.

During the book closure period, which will be observed from July 21 to July 28, 2023 (both days inclusive), the TFC transfer books of UBL will remain closed. This closure is necessary to determine the entitlement of coupon payments for the respective TFC holders.

To be eligible for the coupon payments, transfers of TFCs must be received by M/s. THK Associates (Pvt.) Limited, the Registrar and Share/Certificate Transfer Agent of UBL, by the close of business on July 20, 2023. Any transfers received within this timeframe will be considered valid for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the coupon payments.

UBL will facilitate the payment of the coupon amounts to entitled TFC holders through electronic bank transfers or pay orders. The payments will be processed on the next working day following the closing date of the book closure period.
