Karachi: Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will observe a two-day closure on Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in observance of Ashura, corresponding to the 9th and 10th of Muharram in the year 1446 A.H.

The announcement was addressed to all TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and other concerned parties, indicating the suspension of trading activities on these dates. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this closure aligns with the traditional commemoration of Ashura, a significant period in the Islamic calendar marked by mourning and remembrance.

The market is expected to resume normal operations on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
