Karachi: The Board of Directors of JS Investments Limited, the management company of JS Cash Fund, approved the fund's financial results for the year ended June 30, 2024, at their meeting on August 20, 2024, in Karachi. The JS Cash Fund reported a significant increase in income for the fiscal year 2024, showcasing a robust financial performance.
The fund recorded a total income of Rs. 5,077.82 million for the year 2024, compared to Rs. 2,852.55 million in 2023. This income included profit or markup income of Rs. 5,093.64 million, despite a net realised loss on the sale of investments totaling Rs. 32.21 million. Additionally, the fund experienced a net unrealised appreciation on re-measurement of investments at fair value through profit or loss, amounting to Rs. 16.40 million.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), JS Cash Fund distributed an interim cash dividend of Rs. 19.30 per unit during the fiscal year. The expenses for the year were managed efficiently, with total costs amounting to Rs. 288.01 million, up from Rs. 115.98 million in 2023. These expenses included remuneration for the management company, JS Investments Limited, totaling Rs. 141.18 million, and various fees and charges associated with regulatory compliance and operational activities.
The net income for the year, before taxation, stood at Rs. 4,789.82 million, reflecting a substantial increase from Rs. 2,736.57 million in the previous year. The net income after taxation was also Rs. 4,789.82 million. After accounting for income paid on units redeemed, the accounting income available for distribution was Rs. 4,532.43 million.
