Financial Results for the Half Year Ended June 30, 2024

Lahore: In a recent announcement from IGI Holdings Limited, the financial results for the half year ended June 30, 2024, were disclosed following approval by the Board of Directors on August 26, 2024. The company has declared an interim cash dividend of Rs 2 per share, which amounts to a 20% payout.

For the half year concluded in June 2024, IGI Holdings Limited reported a notable profit after taxation of Rs 399.74 million, compared to Rs 325.96 million in the corresponding period last year, reflecting a robust growth in profitability. The earnings per share also increased from Rs 2.29 to Rs 2.80.

The revenue streams of the company showed substantial resilience with the total income for the half year reaching Rs 556.68 million, a rise from Rs 489.77 million in the previous year. This improvement was primarily driven by an increase in dividend income which spiked from Rs 485.00 million in 2023 to Rs 550.00 million in 2024.

Operating costs and expenses were tightly controlled, with total expenses for the half year marked at Rs 155.06 million. This management of expenses contributed to the profit before taxation which stood at Rs 401.62 million.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), there are no allocations for bonus shares or rights shares as per the latest board meeting. The shareholder register will be updated on September 6, 2024, to determine the entitlement of the declared dividend. The Share Transfer Books will remain closed from September 9 to September 10, 2024.
