Pak-Qatar Asset Allocation Plan Activates Non-Broker Clearing Account

Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has announced the activation of a non-broker clearing member account for PQAMCL AC. PQIAAF Pak Qatar Asset Allocation Plan IIIA, effective from September 18, 2024. This development allows the financial institution to engage directly in clearing and settlement activities, enhancing its risk management capabilities through the Institutional Delivery System (IDS) module of the National Clearing and Settlement System (NCSS).

The newly activated account, identified by CM ID 20016 for regular market transactions, marks a significant step in facilitating direct interactions with the clearinghouse, bypassing traditional brokerage channels. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this implementation is part of a broader initiative to incorporate financial institutions more seamlessly into the country’s financial market infrastructure.

The activation is expected to streamline the clearing and settlement processes for PQAMCL AC.
