Mari Petroleum Executives Report Share Transactions

Karachi: Mari Petroleum Company Limited has reported recent share transactions by its executive members, Kamran Bin Zafar and Waqar Hasan, according to compliance with Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations. The transactions, which involved buying shares of the company, are set to be presented at the next board meeting as mandated by PSX clause 5.6.4.

Kamran Bin Zafar purchased 500 shares on September 24, 2024, at a rate of 424.95 PKR per share, while Waqar Hasan acquired 234 shares a day later at 426.14 PKR per share. Both transactions were executed through the Central Depository Company (CDC) in the ready market. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this disclosure aligns with the company’s commitment to transparency regarding the trading activities of its high-level employees and significant stakeholders.

Mari Petroleum has confirmed adherence to the holding period regulations stipulated by the Securities Act, 2015. The company stated that if the holding period for these transactions is less than six months, any profits derived will be surrendered to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), with a corresponding notification to the PSX.
