Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited has approved the financial results of MCB Pakistan Fixed Return Fund for the year ended June 30, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the fund has demonstrated notable performance across several fiscal periods.
For the year spanning July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, the fund reported total income of 797.84 million rupees, bolstered by significant earnings from investments and other income streams. Net income before taxation stood at 754.54 million rupees, with a similar figure for net income after taxation, highlighting the fund's effective management and profitable operations.
The fund's performance for various periods within the fiscal year also reflected steady gains and operational efficiency. From July to October 2023, the net income after taxation was recorded at 307.46 million rupees. Subsequent periods saw continued profitability, with net income figures consistently above 250 million rupees, culminating in a strong fiscal year-end performance.
Expenses for the fund included remuneration for investment management, fees for the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, and other operational costs, totaling 42.84 million rupees for the year. Despite these expenditures, the fund’s strategic investment approaches yielded high returns, particularly from government securities and bank deposits.
