Karachi: Askari Bank Limited has issued a notification regarding the loss of share certificates owned by Mrs. Zohra A. Aziz. A total of 362 shares represented by these certificates are reported missing, and the bank has taken steps to prevent any unauthorized transactions involving these shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the certificates lost are detailed with specific distinctive numbers ranging from 9101779 to 152214325, across multiple certificate numbers including 72459, 73933, 85292, 87210, and 115107. This incident has prompted the bank to issue an urgent advisory to all exchange members to refrain from dealing in these certificates.
The bank has set a three-day window from the date of the notification for any objections to be raised regarding the issuance of duplicate certificates. If no objections are received within this period, Askari Bank will proceed to issue duplicates to Mrs. Aziz to rectify the situation.
This measure is part of Askari Bank's commitment to maintaining stringent controls over its share certificates and ensuring the security of its shareholders' investments.
