Islamabad: Pakistan PVC Limited has announced that its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on October 18, 2024, at the company’s registered office in Shaffiabad, Gharo, District Thatta. The meeting, set for 9:00 a.m., will cover several key points of business, including the confirmation of minutes from the previous AGM, adoption of audited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2024, appointment of auditors, and election of a new board of directors.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the AGM will also include the election of directors for a three-year term to replace the retiring board members: Mr. Arif Shaffi, Mr. Abdullah Shaffi, Mrs. Saira Shaffi, Mr. Mohammed Shaffi, Mr. Mohammad Iqbal, Mr. Arshad Javaid, and Mr. Adeel Shaffi. All retiring directors are eligible for re-election.
The Share Transfer Books of the company will remain closed from October 12, 2024, to October 18, 2024, to facilitate the AGM processes. Shareholders are required to provide their bank account details to receive dividends electronically, in compliance with the SECP's regulations mandating electronic payment of dividends.
Additionally, the AGM will address the ratification of remuneration for the Chief Executive and two full-time directors, which includes an annual salary of Rs. 1.5 million along with other benefits. This proposal aims to ensure that the executive compensation is aligned with the company’s governance standards and market conditions.
