Karachi: LSE Ventures Limited has officially requested an extension for holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the submission of financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. The request, directed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, involves necessary approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) due to procedural delays.
In a letter dated October 3, 2024, addressed to the General Manager of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, LSE Ventures outlined its application to the SECP seeking additional time to conduct its AGM and disclose the annual financial reports. The letter from Arif Ahmad, CEO of LSE Ventures, indicated that the company has submitted all requisite documents for this extension. These documents include a signed affidavit from Ahmad himself, a paid challan covering the extension fee, and audited financial accounts for the year ended June 30, 2023.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the request stems from the need to adhere to statutory requirements for the AGM's notice circulation along with the audited financial statements. The company expressed its commitment to keeping the exchange informed and anticipated a swift response from the SECP regarding their application.
This move by LSE Ventures reflects the often complex nature of regulatory compliance and corporate governance, emphasizing the critical timing of financial transparency and shareholder communication.
