Substantial Shareholders of Aruj Industries Conduct Significant Transactions

Karachi: In a recent disclosure, substantial shareholders of Aruj Industries Limited have executed significant transactions in the company's shares, as revealed in compliance with Regulation No. 5.6.1 (d) of The Pakistan Stock Exchange. The disclosure, sent to the PSX, highlights activities concerning the trading of shares by key stakeholders.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Butt, a substantial shareholder, sold 39,002 shares on September 12, 2024, at a rate of PKR 12.70 per share. Following the transaction, Mr. Butt's cumulative shareholding in the company stands at 629,300 shares, representing 6.02% of the total shares.

Similarly, Ms. Naseem Maqsood, another significant shareholder, sold 600 shares on September 23, 2024, at a rate of PKR 9.67 each. Post-transaction, Ms. Maqsood holds 243,900 shares, equating to 2.33% of the company’s total shares. Both transactions were conducted electronically through the Central Depository Company (CDC).

The company confirmed that these transactions comply with the regulatory requirements, including a holding period of over six months. If any shares were sold within six months, the profit from such transactions would be required to be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), as mandated under section 105 of the Securities Act, 2015.

This disclosure ensures transparency in the dealings of substantial shareholders and maintains regulatory compliance with the oversight of the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
