Lahore: Ghani Glass Limited, a leading player in Pakistan's glass manufacturing sector, continues to dominate the market despite persistent economic headwinds, as disclosed in its 2024 annual report.
The company achieved a notable revenue increase, with annual net revenue rising to Rs. 47.8 billion in 2024, up from Rs. 41 billion in 2023, marking a growth of 16.5%. This performance was underpinned by robust demand for its high-quality glass products across various industries, including pharmaceuticals and food and beverage sectors.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Ghani Glass maintained its leadership position through continuous innovation and commitment to quality. The company's operational performance, however, faced pressures with a slight decrease in operating profit from Rs. 8 billion in 2023 to Rs. 7.4 billion in 2024. Increased costs, particularly for energy and raw materials, were significant contributors to the tighter profit margins.
Despite these challenges, Ghani Glass upheld its commitment to corporate social responsibility, spending over Rs. 900 million annually on community programs. These initiatives span education, health, and environmental sustainability, emphasizing the company's role as a responsible corporate citizen.
The company also declared a final cash dividend of 10% at Rs. 1 per share for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, signaling confidence in its financial stability and commitment to shareholder value.
