Islamabad: Shifa International Hospitals Limited has scheduled its 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 28, 2024, to be held at the company’s registered office and through video-link using the Zoom application. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this meeting is critical for shareholders as several significant proposals are on the agenda.
The AGM will address the approval of minutes from the Extraordinary General Meeting held on June 15, 2024, and review the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended June 30, 2024. These statements include both consolidated and unconsolidated reports, along with insights from the Directors’ and Auditors’ reports.
A key financial decision at the meeting will be the consideration of a final cash dividend of 25% per share, which translates to Rs. 2.5 per Rs. 10 share. This is in addition to the interim dividend of 15% or Rs. 1.5 per share already distributed, bringing the total annual dividend to 40% or Rs. 4 per share for the fiscal year 2024. The board’s proposal underlines the company's robust financial performance and its commitment to delivering shareholder value.
Furthermore, shareholders will vote on the appointment of auditors for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, and will set their remuneration. The AGM is a crucial platform for shareholders to voice their opinions and influence the strategic direction of the hospital through their voting rights.
