SECP Grants Siddiqsons Tin Plate Limited Extension for AGM and Quarterly Reports

Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has officially granted Siddiqsons Tin Plate Limited a 30-day extension for holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and filing its quarterly financial statements. The Karachi-based company now has until November 27, 2024, to convene its AGM for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, and until November 29, 2024, to file its financial statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2024.

This extension, approved under sections 132 and 237 of the Companies Act 2017, allows Siddiqsons Tin Plate Limited additional time to prepare and review their financial documents, ensuring compliance and thorough presentation to shareholders. The extension underscores the flexibility provided by the SECP under special circumstances to support corporate compliance and governance standards.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), such extensions are critical to enabling companies to accurately finalize and present their financial outcomes without undue haste, safeguarding shareholder interests and the integrity of financial reporting.

The decision by the SECP, communicated through a formal notice, emphasizes the regulatory body's commitment to accommodating the logistical needs of companies while maintaining strict oversight to ensure transparency and accountability in corporate affairs.
