Karachi: A notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 10, 2024, has revealed that a shareholder of Bank Alfalah Limited, Mr. Abid Aziz, has reported the loss of share certificates totaling 275 shares. The missing documents encompass two certificate numbers, extending across distinct sets of shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the lost certificates include 250 shares under certificate number 0042843 (distinctive numbers 0234993302 to 0234993551) and an additional 25 shares under certificate number 0134509 (distinctive numbers 1773649418 to 1773649442). The FD Registrar Services (Pvt) Ltd., acting as the share registrar and corporate consultant for Bank Alfalah, has issued a formal notification to the Karachi Stock Exchange to prevent any unauthorized transactions involving these shares.
The communication requested that the information be circulated among the members of the stock exchange, advising them not to deal in the aforementioned shares. The registrar has stipulated a seven-day period for any objections to be raised regarding the issuance of duplicate certificates to the affected shareholder.
The registrar's office has asked for an acknowledgment of receipt and compliance with the notice from the exchange, underscoring the procedural steps being taken to address the issue of the lost shares.
