Karachi: Ghani Chemical Industries Limited has introduced electronic voting and postal ballot for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 26, 2024. The Karachi-based company stated that this is in line with the procedural compliance for its 09th AGM, allowing shareholders to vote electronically or by postal ballot on special business items.

On October 4, 2024, Ghani Chemical announced the provision for electronic voting in accordance with the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations 2018. The details for the e-voting facility will be shared with all eligible shareholders by the end of business on October 18, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this initiative is part of efforts to enhance shareholder participation and streamline the voting process.

The e-voting session will start on October 23, 2024, and will conclude on October 25, 2024. For shareholders preferring the traditional method, signed and filled postal ballots along with a copy of their National Identity Card must reach the designated address by October 25, 2024. Digital Custodian Company Limited has been appointed to handle the electronic voting process.

Ghani Chemical Industries has taken these steps to comply with regulatory requirements and to ensure that all shareholders have the opportunity to participate in the governance of the company. The results of the voting will be disclosed immediately after the AGM, enhancing transparency and shareholder engagement.
