PSX Updates List of Securities Eligible as Market Collateral for DFC Market

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has revised its list of securities eligible as market collateral for the Deliverable Future Contract (DFC) Market. This update follows the notice issued on October 18, 2024, as confirmed by the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL).

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), a range of new securities will be included in the DFC market eligibility list, effective from October 28, 2024. These additions include AGHA Steel Industries Ltd., Agritech Limited, and Air Link Communication Limited, among others. Notably, the updated list also features major financial institutions such as Askari Bank Limited and Bank Alfalah Limited, reflecting the inclusion of a broad spectrum of industries.

Concurrently, certain securities will be excluded from the market collateral list effective from November 7, 2024. These exclusions encompass Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited, JS Bank Limited, and National Foods Limited. The exclusions are part of routine adjustments made by the PSX to maintain the integrity and stability of the market collateral pool.

The NCCPL has advised all concerned parties to take note of these changes to ensure smooth trading activities within the DFC market. This quarterly adjustment is part of ongoing efforts to enhance market operations and provide clear guidelines to market participants.
