Bank Al Habib Announces Financial Results and Dividend for First Nine Months of 2024

Karachi: Bank Al Habib Limited has disclosed its financial outcomes for the nine months concluding September 30, 2024, including an interim cash dividend declaration and noteworthy earnings. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank's board convened on October 24, 2024, to approve these results and recommended a dividend payout, reflecting a robust fiscal performance.

During the meeting held at Karachi, the Board of Directors sanctioned an interim cash dividend for the third quarter at Rs. 3.50 per share, which represents a 35% payout ratio. This dividend is a supplement to the previous interim dividends totaling Rs. 7.00 per share for the year, cumulatively reaching a 70% payout.

In terms of financial performance, Bank Al Habib posted a profit after taxation of Rs. 34.32 billion, translating to earnings per share of Rs. 30.88 for the consolidated entity, up from Rs. 26.63 in the corresponding period the previous year. The total markup/interest income for this period stood at Rs. 116.70 billion, underscoring a significant operational upturn.

Furthermore, the bank reported that no new bonus shares or other corporate actions are scheduled at this time. The financial statements, both unconsolidated and consolidated, were approved as presented in Annexure "A" and "B". The share transfer book will remain closed from November 1 to November 5, 2024, to facilitate the processing of this dividend.
