Karachi: Ghani Chemical Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the first quarter ending September 30, 2024, with a substantial increase in profitability and operational income. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the announcement came following a board meeting at the company's Lahore office on October 28, 2024.
The company reported a net sales revenue of Rs 1.73 billion for the quarter, marking an increase from Rs 1.21 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The cost of sales also saw a rise to Rs 1.10 billion from Rs 771.01 million, resulting in a gross profit of Rs 635.85 million, up from Rs 441.69 million year over year.
Operating expenses, including distribution and administrative costs, totaled Rs 106.31 million, while the company earned Rs 133.39 million in other income. These figures contributed to an operational profit of Rs 622.63 million, up from Rs 430.54 million in the prior year.
Finance costs for the quarter amounted to Rs 114.79 million, with the company achieving a pre-tax profit of Rs 507.83 million. After taxation and levies, Ghani Chemical Industries' net profit stood at Rs 303.14 million, translating to earnings per share of Rs 0.61, compared to Rs 0.46 in the previous year.
