Haji Mohammad Ismail Mills Limited Reports First Quarter Loss Amid Declining Revenue

Lahore: Haji Mohammad Ismail Mills Limited reported a net loss of 1.26 million rupees for the first quarter ending September 30, 2024, marking a slight improvement from the 1.33 million rupees loss recorded in the same period last year. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company cited operating expenses as the primary factor impacting its financial performance.

The report highlighted that administrative expenses remained stable at 1.27 million rupees for the quarter, showing only a marginal reduction from 1.34 million rupees in the corresponding quarter of 2023. This led to an operating loss of 1.27 million rupees, marginally lower than the 1.34 million rupees reported last year.

Despite the challenging environment, Haji Mohammad Ismail Mills Limited recorded other income of 12,122 rupees, a minor decrease from the 14,826 rupees recorded in the prior year’s first quarter. With no finance costs reported, the company's loss before taxation stood at 1.26 million rupees for both periods.

The report also disclosed a loss per share of 0.10 rupees, compared to a loss per share of 0.11 rupees in the same quarter of 2023, reflecting a marginal improvement in per-share performance.
