Airlink Expands Footprint with New Industrial Plot Acquisition in Lahore

Lahore: Airlink Communication Limited has announced the successful acquisition of a 3-acre industrial plot in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore. This marks a significant milestone in the company's strategic expansion efforts, as outlined in its previous communications. The announcement was made on October 15, 2023, aligning with the company's growth objectives to capitalize on the incentives offered within the SGSEZ.

This newly acquired plot is strategically located next to a 5-acre plot owned by Select Technologies (Pvt) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airlink. The proximity of these plots is expected to provide operational synergies and cost efficiencies, enhancing Airlink's manufacturing and distribution capabilities in the designated market category of telecommunications and technology.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this acquisition is in compliance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of PSX Regulations. These regulations require the disclosure of material information to ensure transparency and informed decision-making by investors.

The expansion into the SGSEZ is anticipated to leverage the zone's economic incentives, which include tax benefits, infrastructure support, and simplified regulatory processes. This move positions Airlink to strengthen its market presence, increase production capacity, and potentially explore new market opportunities.

The company has conveyed this development to the TRE certificate holders of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of its strategic plans. This acquisition not only reflects Airlink's commitment to growth but also underscores its confidence in the economic potential of the SGSEZ as a hub for technological advancement and industrial development.
