Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continuation of the suspension of trading in the shares of M/s. Trust Investment Bank Limited due to ongoing non-compliance issues. This move follows the PSX Notice No.PSX/N-1148 issued on November 29, 2024, which initially addressed these concerns.
As of January 30, 2025, Trust Investment Bank Limited has not rectified the reasons leading to the suspension of its share trading. The company has failed to comply with several PSX regulations, including Clauses 5.11.1.(b), (c), (d), (h), and 5.11.2.(a). These violations include not holding the Annual General Meetings, failing to submit Annual Audited Financial Statements, non-payment of dues to the Exchange, cancellation of its IFS license by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and an issued order by SECP to initiate winding-up proceedings against the company.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the suspension will persist until Trust Investment Bank Limited addresses these issues. Alternatively, if the problems are not resolved, the suspension will remain in effect for an additional 60 days starting January 30, 2025.
This action is undertaken under the authority of the PSX in accordance with Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations. The designated market category for this decision is the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The continued suspension highlights the importance of regulatory compliance for listed companies to maintain their trading privileges and underscores the PSX's commitment to enforcing its regulations to ensure market integrity.
