Lakki Marwat: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the commencement of production from the Bettani-2 appraisal well, located in District Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This marks a significant development in the company's exploration activities, following a previous disclosure on December 13, 2024, regarding a gas condensate discovery in the Samanasuk formation at the Bettani-02 well.
OGDCL, operating with a 100% working interest in the Wali Exploration License, reported that production from the Bettani-2 well has successfully started after completion and stimulation in the Kawagarh formation. The well is currently yielding 8.50 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 610 barrels per day (BPD) of oil. The gas produced is being processed at the company's Bettani processing plant and subsequently injected into the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network for distribution.
