CEO of Crescent Textile Mills Expands Stake Through Series of Transactions

Lahore: Ahmad Shafi, the Chief Executive Officer of The Crescent Textile Mills Limited, has executed a series of share purchases, significantly increasing his stake in the company. The transactions, executed over a span of three days, reflect a continuation of Shafi's investment strategy in the company he leads.

According to documents disclosed on March 14, 2025, under the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulation 5.6.4 related to the disclosure of interest by relevant persons, Shafi has incrementally purchased a total of 13,000 shares. These transactions took place over March 11, 12, and 13, 2025.

On March 11, Shafi acquired 9,000 shares at a rate of 13.36 per share. The acquisitions were executed in two separate transactions, adding to his cumulative shareholding, which then stood at 22,403,736 shares, representing a 22.40% stake in the company.

The following day, Shafi continued his buying spree, purchasing 2,000 shares at rates of 13.14 and 13.16 per share. This brought his total holding to 22,405,736 shares, maintaining his percentage stake at 22.40%.

On March 13, Shafi further increased his holdings by acquiring an additional 2,000 shares through a series of transactions at prices ranging from 13.20 to 13.31. With these acquisitions, his cumulative shareholding reached 22,408,736 shares, translating to a 22.41% ownership in the company.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these transactions have been duly noted as part of the regulatory compliance requirements. The Crescent Textile Mills Limited operates within the designated market category of textiles and maintains a significant presence in the sector.

Shafi’s strategic acquisition of shares underscores his confidence in the company’s future prospects as he strengthens his position within the organization. The transactions were conducted via the Central Depository Company (CDC) in the ready market, reflecting a steady approach towards increasing his equity stake.
