Karachi: BankIslami Pakistan Limited held its 21st Annual General Meeting on March 27, 2025, in Karachi, where several key resolutions were passed, including the adoption of the bank's financial statements and the approval of dividends for the fiscal year 2024.
Shareholders of BankIslami Pakistan Limited convened to review and adopt the Annual Audited Financial Statements and Consolidated Audited Financial Statements for the year ending December 31, 2024. These documents included the Auditors' and Directors' Reports, alongside a comprehensive review by the Chairman. The resolution for adoption was passed without opposition.
The meeting also saw the reappointment of KPMG Taseer Hadi and Co., Chartered Accountants, as the bank's statutory auditors for the year ending December 31, 2025. Both the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors endorsed KPMG Taseer Hadi and Co., who have agreed to continue their services, subject to terms and remuneration to be finalized with the bank's management.
Moreover, the shareholders approved a final cash dividend of Rs. 1.25 per share, representing a 12.50% payout. This is in addition to an interim cash dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share, or 15%, that was previously declared and paid. The final dividend will be distributed to members listed in the Register of Members as of the close of business on March 19, 2025.
