Cherat Cement Commissions 6.065 MW Solar Power Plant at Nowshera Factory Site

Nowshera: Cherat Cement Company Limited has announced the commissioning of a 6.065 megawatt (MW) solar power plant at its factory site in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The commissioning took place on April 3, 2025, as part of the company's ongoing efforts to enhance its captive power generation capacity.

According to the company's statement, the total solar power project at the site is projected to reach approximately 9 MW. The remaining 2.935 MW is expected to be operational within the current financial year. The addition of this solar power plant is a strategic move to bolster the company's energy resources.

The information about the commissioning has been communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) for dissemination to the TRE Certificate Holders. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this project is expected to contribute significantly to Cherat Cement's energy independence and sustainability goals.
