Karachi: Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited has announced the book closure for its unlisted Sukuk-IV certificates, as the principal and profit payments are due on April 21, 2025. The company has set the book closure period from April 15 to April 21, 2025.
The scheduled closure of the transfer books is intended to determine the entitlements of Sukuk holders. Transactions recorded in the Central Depository System (CDS) by the company's share registrar, Digital Custodian Company Limited, located at Perdesi House, 4th Floor, Old Queens Road, Karachi, will be considered valid for this purpose if received by the close of business on April 14, 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Sukuk holders are advised to ensure their international bank account numbers (IBAN) are updated by April 14, 2025. Additionally, holders must submit valid income tax exemption certificates to the share registrar by the same date to avoid tax deductions as stipulated under section 151 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
