De-listing of GoP Ijarah Sukuk Set for April 9

Karachi: The GoP Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) with maturity date of April 8, 2025, is set to be delisted from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) following the completion of its final maturity payment. The security, identified as P01GIS080425, has undergone the full cycle of its financial obligations, marking its exit from the trading platform.

According to a notice issued by the PSX (Notice# PSX/N-320) on March 25, 2025, trading in the GIS was suspended in anticipation of its maturity payment. This suspension was a procedural step to ensure the orderly settlement of obligations as the security reached its term.

The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) confirmed that the final payments to all eligible investors were completed on April 8, 2025. As a result, the security will be officially delisted from the PSX on April 9, 2025. This process follows the joint procedures established by the PSX, the Central Depository Company (CDC), and the NCCPL for handling maturing securities in the secondary market.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the de-listing of the GoP Ijarah Sukuk is a routine procedure following the fulfillment of its financial commitments. The designated market category for this security was specific to Islamic finance instruments, often attracting investors seeking Sharia-compliant investment options.

The delisting signifies the conclusion of this particular investment cycle, allowing investors to reallocate capital. This development is part of the broader framework of managing securities within the structured environment of Pakistan's financial markets.
