Karachi: Arif Habib Limited has disclosed a significant transaction involving its top executive, revealing that Muhammad Shahid Ali, the Chief Executive Officer and Director, has executed a purchase of 1,350,000 shares of the company. The transaction, conducted on April 7, 2025, was executed at a rate of Rs. 55.80 per share.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this purchase contributes to Mr. Ali's cumulative holding of 1,350,965 shares, which now represents a 2.07 percent stake in the company. The transaction was made through the Central Depository Company (CDC) in the ready market category.
The company has assured that this transaction will be reviewed in the forthcoming board meeting, as mandated under clause No. 5.6.4 (d) of the PSX Regulations. The review will include any non-compliance issues for the board's consideration.
Additionally, Arif Habib Limited confirmed compliance with the Securities Act, 2015, stating that the holding period for the transaction exceeds six months. Should the holding period be less than six months, any profit derived would be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), as required by Section 105 of the Act, with intimation to the PSX.
