Lahore: The Bank of Punjab has announced the loss of share certificates by one of its shareholders, Mr. Muhammad Hashim, according to a recent notice from Corplink Pvt. Ltd. The shares, amounting to a total of 231, are held under Folio #9117 and are distributed across five distinct certificates.
The details of the lost share certificates are as follows: Certificate No. 159173, covering Distinctive Nos. 35193315 to 35193389, accounts for 75 shares. Certificate No. 341396, with Distinctive Nos. 292145006 to 292145029, comprises 24 shares. Certificate No. 352070, covering Distinctive Nos. 385212871 to 385212880, includes 10 shares. Certificate No. 365907, with Distinctive Nos. 424681775 to 424681801, accounts for 27 shares. Lastly, Certificate No. 371187, spanning Distinctive Nos. 2180832465 to 2180832559, comprises 95 shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), an indemnity has been received from Mr. Hashim, and the transfer deed remains unverified. The company has stated that in the absence of any claims, duplicate share certificates will be issued seven days post the date of the circular issued by the PSX.
The designated market category for these shares remains unspecified in the notice, and further verification of the transfer deed is awaited. The Bank of Punjab and Corplink Pvt. Ltd. have not disclosed any further action pending the issuance of the duplicate certificates.
