Aruj Industries Limited Faces Further Disciplinary Action for Non-Compliance with PSX Regulations

Karachi: Aruj Industries Limited has been subjected to additional disciplinary actions by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) following its failure to comply with the penalty payment stipulated under Clause 5.21.1. of the PSX Regulations. The company's non-compliance with Clause 5.11.1.(d) has resulted in further regulatory scrutiny, as it is already listed in the Non-Compliant Segment due to the issuance of a disclaimer of opinion by its statutory auditor.

According to PSX regulations, a listed company may be placed in the Non-Compliant Segment if it fails to fulfill certain financial obligations, including the payment of annual listing fees for two consecutive years, any penalties imposed by the exchange, or other dues payable under these regulations. Aruj Industries' recent failure to settle its penalty has led to its continued presence in the Non-Compliant Segment, with additional non-compliance noted in the Daily Quotations of the Exchange starting April 28, 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Aruj Industries has been given a deadline to address this non-compliance by July 28, 2025, as per Clause 5.11.3.(c). Should the company fail to rectify its non-compliance within the specified 90-day period, the PSX will consider further measures under Clause 5.11.3.(d). These measures may include the issuance of a Risk Warning Alert against the company, signaling increased risk to investors and stakeholders.

The developments come as part of the PSX's ongoing efforts to ensure adherence to its regulations and maintain market integrity within the designated market category. Aruj Industries' situation serves as a reminder of the stringent compliance requirements imposed on listed entities by the PSX.
