First Imrooz Modaraba Reports Marginal Decline in Profit for Nine-Month Period

Karachi: The Board of Directors of A R Management Services (Private) Limited, the management company of First Imrooz Modaraba, released its report to certificate holders alongside unaudited financial statements for the third quarter and nine-month period ending March 31, 2025. The report revealed a slight decline in profit amid lower sales, although improved margins and stable exchange rates contributed to a relatively steady financial performance.

For the nine-month period ending on March 31, 2025, First Imrooz Modaraba recorded sales of 889.71 million rupees, a decrease from the 936.27 million rupees reported for the same period in the previous year. Despite the drop in sales volume and value, the gross profit increased to 233.76 million rupees, up from 204.20 million rupees year-on-year. Operating expenses stood at 133.24 million rupees, showing a decrease from last year's figure of 147.80 million rupees.

The company's profit for the period slightly declined to 77.01 million rupees, compared to 78.15 million rupees in the prior year. Earnings per certificate, both basic and diluted, were recorded at 25.67 rupees, a small drop from the previous year's 26.05 rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the management anticipates challenging circumstances in the final quarter of the fiscal year. Despite these challenges, the company maintained better margins due to stable exchange rates, which contributed to its financial results.

The Board of Directors expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and guidance from the Registrar Modaraba and officials of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Additionally, they acknowledged the support from certificate holders, colleagues, investors, bankers, and business partners.
