CEO of Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited Acquires Over 22,000 Shares at PSX

Karachi: Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited has reported a significant transaction involving its Chief Executive Officer and Director, Zafar Mahmood. According to a disclosure made under the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited Regulations, Mahmood has purchased 22,700 shares of the company. The transaction was executed at a rate of Rs. 140.02 per share, amounting to a total value of approximately 3.18 million. The shares were acquired on May 2, 2025, in the ready market category, and the form of the share certificates was electronic, as per the Central Depository Company (CDC) standards.

The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation No. 5.6.4 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. The regulations require companies to report transactions by their directors or executives promptly to ensure transparency and inform the TRE Certificate holders of the Exchange.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the holding period for this transaction extends beyond six months. Should the holding period fall short of this duration, the Securities Act, 2015 mandates that any profit made must be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This requirement ensures adherence to Section 105 of the Act, aiming to maintain fair trading practices within the stock market.
