Lahore: Siemens AG, a substantial shareholder in Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd., has further consolidated its position by acquiring additional shares in the company. The transaction details were disclosed under the Pakistan Stock Exchange's regulation 5.6.4, which mandates transparency in shareholding by directors, CEOs, executives, and substantial shareholders.
According to the disclosure, Siemens AG executed two transactions in May 2025. On May 9, the company purchased 601 shares at a rate of 1,516.00 per share. This acquisition increased Siemens AG's cumulative shareholding to 7,656,589 shares, representing 92.84% of the total shares.
A subsequent transaction took place on May 13, where Siemens AG acquired an additional 3,509 shares at the same rate of 1,516.00 per share. Following this purchase, the cumulative number of shares held by Siemens AG rose to 7,660,098, slightly increasing its ownership percentage to 92.88%.
The transactions were facilitated through the Central Depository Company (CDC) under the Non-Deliverable Market (NDM) category. The acquisitions highlight Siemens AG's strategy to strengthen its foothold in the Pakistani market through increased shareholding in its local subsidiary.
