Karachi: The trading facility of Akhai Securities (Private) Limited has been restored by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) after the firm successfully enhanced its Liquid Capital (LC) above the required minimum threshold. This reinstatement comes after a temporary restriction imposed on May 2, 2025, detailed in Notice No. PSX/N-451, which suspended the brokerage's trading activities due to insufficient capital reserves.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision to restore Akhai Securities’ trading facility was made as the firm complied with the capital requirements set for Trading and Self-Clearing Brokers. The verification process had initially revealed that Akhai Securities' Liquid Capital fell below the specified limit, prompting regulatory action to ensure compliance with the financial standards mandated by the exchange.
The restoration of Akhai Securities' trading privileges is effective immediately, allowing the brokerage to resume its operations in the designated market category. This development is a significant move for Akhai Securities as it works to maintain its position and credibility in the financial market following the compliance measures undertaken to meet the PSX's financial regulations.
