Apna Microfinance Bank Limited Announces Extraordinary General Meeting in Karachi

Karachi: Apna Microfinance Bank Limited has announced an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), scheduled for June 18, 2025, in Karachi. The meeting aims to address key business matters including the election of directors and confirmation of previous meeting minutes.

The notice for the EGM was published in the Karachi edition of the Daily Times and Daily Nai Baat, as an extension of the bank's prior communication dated May 26, 2025. Stakeholders and TRE Certificate Holders of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have been duly informed.

The agenda for the EGM includes confirming the minutes from the 22nd Annual General Meeting held on March 28, 2025. Moreover, the election of seven directors for a three-year term will be conducted. This election is in accordance with Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017. The list of retiring directors includes Mr. Muhammad Akram Shahid, Mr. Imad Mohammad Tahir, Mr. Shahid Hassan, Mr. Muhammad Saleem Shaikh, Mr. Mohammad Asghar, Mr. Abdul Aziz Khan, Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan, and Ms. Sultana Naheed.

The meeting will also allow for the transaction of any other business with the Chair's permission. The designated market category for the proceedings is set by the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
