Intermarket Securities Limited Announces Change in Face Value of Shares

Karachi: Intermarket Securities Limited (IMS) has announced a change in the face value of its shares from PKR 10 to PKR 1. This move comes as part of a stock split initiative, following the Book Closure announced by the company on June 14, 2025. The announcement was made through a letter dated May 30, 2025, and was subsequently notified via the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) website.

The trading of IMS shares will experience a modified settlement cycle, operating on a T+0 basis, which entails same-day settlement for the trading days of Thursday, June 12, 2025, and Friday, June 13, 2025. This adjustment is due to the stock split. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the normal settlement cycle of T+2 will be resumed from June 16, 2025, which is the first working day following the Book Closure.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, the opening price of IMS shares will be recalibrated to one tenth of the closing price from Friday, June 13, 2025. This adjustment in face value will result in an increase in the total number of IMS shares from 128,751,024 to 1,287,510,240. Despite this increase in shares, the paid-up capital of the company will remain unchanged.
