TPL Properties Limited Executes Major Share Sell-Off to Raise Financing

Karachi: TPL Properties Limited, a substantial shareholder in TPL REIT Fund I, executed a series of significant transactions involving the sale of its shares on July 3, 2025. The actions were aimed at raising financing through market facilitation against available UIN limits.

The transactions involved selling a total of 6,200,000 shares at varying rates, resulting in a major change in the cumulative shareholding of TPL Properties Limited. The shares were sold in the Central Depository System (CDS) market, with transaction rates ranging from Rs. 13.17 to Rs. 13.22. As a result, the cumulative shareholding now stands at 675.40 million shares, accounting for 36.80 percent of the company's total shares.

These transactions, according to TPL Properties Limited, will be presented in an upcoming board meeting, where any non-compliance issues, if present, will be addressed as per clause No. 5.6.4 of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations. The company has confirmed that the transactions will be highlighted for the board's consideration.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the sales reflect a very large or significant move in the market. The disclosure of interest by a director, CEO, or executive of a listed company, as well as their spouses and the substantial shareholders, is in accordance with the PSX regulations. The designated market category for TPL REIT Fund I is 'Ready.'

The strategic decision to sell shares comes as part of TPL Properties Limited's efforts to secure financing through available market facilitation options, highlighting the company's proactive approach in managing its financial resources.
