Bank AL Habib Limited Reports Loss of Allotment and Share Certificates

Karachi: Bank AL Habib Limited has announced the loss of several allotment and share certificates, prompting a call for caution among members of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The bank issued a notice on July 21, 2025, detailing the missing documents and advising stakeholders to abstain from transactions involving these certificates until further notice.

The bank reported that five allotment letters, representing a total of 500 shares, have been misplaced. The affected allotment letters, belonging to Mr. Taj Mohammad, range from number 101597 to 101601. Members of the exchange have been urged not to engage in any dealings with these specific allotment letters. Should no objections be raised within seven days of the notice, the bank plans to issue new share certificates to the shareholder.

Additionally, Bank AL Habib Limited disclosed the loss of share certificates from several prominent companies, as detailed in Annexure-A. The companies affected include Indus Motor Company Limited, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, and Habib Bank Limited. In this case as well, the exchange members have been advised to refrain from transacting with the listed certificates. If no objections arise within the stipulated period, duplicate share certificates will be issued accordingly.
