Bunnys Limited Advances in Renewable Energy Initiatives to Cut Costs

Lahore: Bunnys Limited has announced significant strides in its renewable energy initiatives, aimed at reducing operational costs and boosting profitability. On July 24, 2025 the company disclosed that it has successfully completed the first phase of its solar energy project by purchasing and installing solar panels with a capacity of 200 KVA. This initial installation is expected to result in a reduction of the company’s electricity bills by approximately 15%.

The company is now focusing on the second phase of this project, which involves expanding solar power production to 1 MW. This enhancement is anticipated to lead to a further reduction of electricity bills by approximately 50%. The initiative underscores Bunnys Limited’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions as a means of cost optimization.

In addition to its solar energy efforts, Bunnys Limited has begun utilizing biogas, which is approximately 30% less expensive than traditional fuels such as sui gas, LPG, or LNG. The shift to biogas represents another strategic move by the company to manage and reduce production costs effectively.
