MCB Investment Management Limited Approves Pakistan Capital Market Fund’s Financial Results

Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited, the management company of the Pakistan Capital Market Fund, has approved the financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The meeting was convened at the company's Head Office in Karachi on August 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., as conveyed through an official communication on August 5, 2025.

The financial statements, including the Statement of Assets and Liabilities, Statement of Profit and Loss, Statement of Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Movement in Unit Holders' Fund, and Statement of Cash Flows, were presented during the meeting. Notably, the Earnings Per Unit (EPU) was not disclosed due to the impracticability of calculating the weighted average number of units, as stated by the management.

The Statement of Assets and Liabilities reflects a total asset base of 762.00 million rupees, compared to the previous year's figure of 535.67 million rupees. The increase in assets is primarily attributed to significant investments amounting to 517.56 million rupees, up from 365.37 million rupees the previous year. Other asset components include balances with banks and profit receivables on bank deposits.

Liabilities for the year were noted at 12.24 million rupees, which marks a decrease from the previous year's 15.31 million rupees. The reduction in total liabilities was influenced by a decrease in accrued and other liabilities, alongside payables against purchases of investments and redemption of units.

The net assets of the fund have experienced a very large or significant move, with the figure reaching 749.77 million rupees, up from 520.37 million rupees in the prior year. This adjustment is reflected in the net asset value per unit, which stands at 23.80 rupees, compared to 17.11 rupees previously, indicating a big move in the value.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Pakistan Capital Market Fund is categorized under the 'Equity Funds' market category. The fund has issued 31,505,019 units, marking a moderate move from the last year's 30,406,586 units.

The management has committed to distributing the requisite number of printed copies of the accounts to members of the exchange, ensuring transparency and accessibility of the financial information.
