Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited, the management company of Alhamra Islamic Active Allocation Fund, approved the financial results of the fund for the year ended June 30, 2025, in a meeting held at their head office on August 4, 2025. These results were shared following the board meeting that commenced at 3:00 p.m.
The comprehensive financial documentation provided includes a Statement of Assets and Liabilities, Statement of Profit and Loss, Statement of Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Movement in Unit Holders' Fund, and Statement of Cash Flows. Notably, the earnings per unit (EPU) were not disclosed due to impracticality in calculating the weighted average number of units, as per the management's opinion.
The financial statements reveal that the total assets of Alhamra Islamic Active Allocation Fund increased to 222.23 million during the fiscal year, compared to 139.57 million in the previous year. The net assets of the fund also saw an increase, recorded at 221.39 million, up from 138.94 million.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the number of units issued by the fund rose to 1,381,435 from the prior year's 1,077,792 units. The net asset value per unit exhibited a big move, reaching 160.2631 from the prior year's 128.9095.
The liabilities of the fund also saw a change, increasing to 841,000 from 629,000 previously reported. The liabilities include amounts payable to MCB Investment Management Limited as the management company, Digital Custodian Company Limited as the trustee, and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, along with accrued expenses and other liabilities.
The fund's significant portfolio adjustment is reflected in the increase in investments from 136.15 million to 212.91 million, while balances with banks also experienced a very large or significant move. The mark-up receivable showed a moderate move as well.
The management company has confirmed that a requisite number of printed accounts will be sent for distribution among the members of the exchange, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements within the designated market category.
