Karachi: Burj Clean Energy Modaraba has disclosed a recent transaction involving the purchase of company shares by its Executive Director, Nabeel Anjum Malik. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Malik executed a purchase of 1,000 shares on August 5, 2025. The transaction, categorized as a minor move, was made on the ready market under the Central Depository Company (CDC) system. This acquisition brings Malik's cumulative shareholding in the company to a level representing a 0.06% stake.
The disclosure was made in compliance with PSX Regulation 5.6.4, which mandates the reporting of share transactions by directors, executives, substantial shareholders, their spouses, and minors. These transactions must be presented to the company's Board of Directors immediately following their execution. The meeting's minutes are then submitted through Form-30 as per the Correspondence Manual via the Pakistan Unified Corporate Action Reporting System (PUCARS).
The regulation also requires that any transaction's holding period exceeds six months. If the holding period is less than six months, any profit derived must be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 105 of the Securities Act, 2015, with notification to the PSX. The company has confirmed that all requisite details have been updated in the Unique Identification Number (UIN) Management System.
