Karachi: Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited has issued a final notice to its shareholders concerning unclaimed dividends, as per the company's advertisements published on August 7, 2025, in daily "The-Nation" and "Daily Dunya". According to the notice, the dividend declared by the company has remained unclaimed or unpaid for a period of three years from the date it became due and payable.
A previous notice was sent to shareholders by registered post to their last known addresses, requesting them to submit their claims within three months. However, Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited reports that there has been no response from shareholders regarding the claims.
The company now invites shareholders to lodge their claims within 90 days from the issuance of this final notice. Failure to make a claim within the specified period will result in the company proceeding to deposit the unclaimed or unpaid amount with the Federal Government. This action is in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 244 of the Act.
